Degrees and Programs The Center for Ministry Preparation offers a flexible selection of programs to meet individual needs in order to provide training for three specific constituencies, those seeking training for vocational ministry, those seeking foundational biblical ministry training to enhance another vocational calling, and those seeking personal spiritual enrichment. Associates in Christian Leadership DegreeCMP offers a two-year Associates in Christian Leadership Degree with a variety of different emphasis. At present, CMP has the following emphasis: Worship and Fine Arts, Youth Ministry, Women in Ministry. In addition, the Ministry Protégé Program offers students a program of mentorship and personal accountability that makes application of the broad-range of theoretical and practical learning while under the direct supervision of a local church pastor. Students wishing to take classes purely for the purpose of personal enrichment are allowed to take classes on a class by class basis. Diploma PlansFor those who want college level instruction geared towards meeting the educational requirements for ministerial credentialing with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, CMP offers three diploma plans: Certificates of Ministry, License to Preach and Ordination Diploma Plans. Each of these plans meet the current credentialing requirements and are designed for students who already hold a college degree in a non-ministry based discipline. Certificate in Ministerial StudiesThis certificate program offers area of studies to provide the components necessary for securing the educational requirements for credentialing with the Assemblies of God. These classes are non-credit bearing classes that will be given one (1) Continuing Educational Unit (CEU) per class. Classes meet one night per week and each course lasts six (6) weeks or as weekend intensives. Classes rotate on a 26 month cycle. Student may begin at any class and complete the cycle during the following 26 months. |
