Home Based Students - Applying to CMP

As a home schooled student, we are certain you benefited tremendously from an education tailored to your needs and learning style. Consequently, the Center for Ministry Preparation would like to build upon your experience by offering you many similar benefits: smaller class size, personal interaction with Instructors, an educational environment that is passionate about learning and incorporating the Word of God into the life of the student.

CMP respects the unique gifts you’ll bring to our campus and our small class sizes will create an atmosphere that permits our Instructors to understand who you are as thinker.

Admission Requirements for Home Schooled Applicants:

CMP has found that home schooled students are often high achiever and possess a strong Christian faith – two qualities we seek in students. Should you be part of an independent home school association or a network of home school students, CMP would need an official transcript of all classes taken in 9th through 12th grade as well as a final grade report.

Although not required, you also may want to submit a portfolio. A portfolio typically includes a brief description of the courses you have completed and sample copies of work, such as a research paper or project, which best reflects your abilities.

Academic references should be completed by an individual who has observed your academic and personal progress, such as a tutor, former teacher or friend, or an employer. Academic recommendations should not be completed by a relative.

Home schooled students also should complete the Admissions Application.
